(33cl bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Hazy, dark brown colour with a medium-sized beige foamy head. Sweet, toast-malty aroma with a distinctive subtle dried fruity note, accompanied by an almost vinous touch of alcohol. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Toast-malty and leafy taste with dried fruits and shades of cacao in the background; dry-ish, toasty and subtle fruity finish. Well-balanced and hearty Dunkel (07.07.08).

bottle. This is an unfiltered Dunkel which was brewed to celebrate the 175th birthday of this brewery deep in the Black Forest. Hazy dark brwon colour, nearly black. Very creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Full-bodied, flavours of roasted malt and caramel with a shy touch of smoke. Hoppy and dry in the lingering finish.

(bottle, 5.6% abv, with thanks to Quack-Duck) Cloudy, yellow to light-orange colour with a huge foamy white head. Slightly sweet, sourish citrus-fruity aroma with grainy and wheaty malt-accents and well-embedded clovy phenols. Light-sour and sweet flavour, quite light body impression according to its abv, smooth and mellow mouthfeel. Wheat-malty, moderately citrus-fruity and grainy taste; mild sourish and tart finish with a light phenolic touch. Not too spicy, refreshing Weizen.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pale golden with a small head. Soft, fresh and very quenching in spite of the added artificial sweetener that doesn’t come out sticky or chemical in this mix. An OK Radler. 151202

(Bottle 33 cl) Pale golden with a thick and dense head. Extremely lovely hop aroma. Body is quite soft with a finely balancing and not too dominating bitterness. Top quality pilsener. 191102

(Bottle 33 cl) Handsome golden beer with a small head. Very full - but soft - body and a distinct, malty sweetness. Things are balanced pretty well by some good quality hops though. Nice brew. 111102

(Bottle 50 cl) 5.4% ABV in my version. Greyish orange and muddy like river water with a collapsing head. Quite dry with some sulphurous notes and a touch of fruit. An average Hefe. 071102
