650mL bottle, pours a deep dark copper amber with a small off-white head. Nose brings out quite a bit of earthy notes, some rye, and dry caramel malts. Flavour is very dry, bringing out dry earthy notes, a little caramel and subdued rye malts. The earthy notes dominate, followed by the rye, making a very drinkable dry, earthy amber ale. Very solid stuff and well-made - just nothing special or memorable.

650mL bottle, pours a clear yellow with a medium white head. Nose is full of fresh cereals, grassy hops and a bit of bready malts. Flavour brings out loads of cereals upfront, followed by grassy hops, and bready malts. Very dry, and dominated by the cereal. Highly drinkable and thirst-quenching. Great pils.

Bottle - Resinous hops, amber malts. Clear dark brown with a thin head. Hop forward and resinous with a nice balanced caramel malts. A little bitter, but still pretty nice. Finish has a bit of alcohol, but isn’t bad.

Judging by some of the earlier ratings, many aren’t familiar with the altbier style. Brown, lasting beige head.Somewhat grainy malt nose. Light malt palate with a medium strength hop bitterness in finish

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of lime, some tart citrus, and some pomegranate shining through. Flavour is bizarre, bringing out like upfront, with subtle notes of pomegranate, slight tartness and grassy hops. Finishes with a grassy hop finish. Solid experiment here.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is non-existent, with perhaps faint notes of straw. Flavour tastes like a macro lager, with perhaps slightly stronger and fresher notes of corn. Drinks easily without any offensive notes, but this is bland as hell. Weak.

On nitro tap at Parallel 49, pours a completely clear pale golden with a large white head. Aroma is of straw and not much else - pretty bland. Flavour is almost non-existent, with subtle notes of straw and biscuit. Not much too this. It drinks well enough and the nitro gives it a nice mouthfeel, but this seems extremely uninspired. Very bland.

650 ml bottle. Pours a hazy pink with little head. Aromas of... low tide (meaning rotten sea food) - yuck. Taste is simply awful - leather, clams, wheat, and straight white sugar. Drain pour. Horrid. Definitely not a normal Parallel 49 experience. Give me a Labatts Blue to take the taste away.
