On tap at Parallel 49, pours a clear mahogany with a small off-white head. Aroma has subtle blackberries upfront, with moderate sweetness, not much depth. Flavour is medium-sweet, with a nice apple acidity and blackberry fruitiness. Reasonably constructed, nice blackberry infusion and ideal acidity. Not complex but drinkable.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has a weird stale character, not much else. Flavour is much the same, with a strange, stale, weird fungal character that predominates. Not exactly offensive but it’s barely drinkable.

On nitro tap at Parallel 49, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a medium, creamy beige head. Aroma has soft roasted malt, some earthiness, and a touch of dry coffee grounds. Flavour is creamy and smooth, with soft toasted malt and a hint of coffee. Clean and smooth but not interesting.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 7 | Overall - 7

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a clear golden orange with a small white head. Aroma has some alcoholic notes, along with light tangy hops, and subtle candied fruits. Flavour follows, with floral, oniony, and tangy hops—bringing the good from Nelson and the bad from Citra—along with some fusel alcohols, and gentle sweet malt. Despite the flaws, this comes together pretty well and is drinkable given the ABV.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7.5 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 7 | Overall - 7.5

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma has a nice resinous hop character that melds well with the caramel malt and a touch of pine. Flavour likewise brings out a nice balance between the resinous hops and chewy caramel malt—nice gentle hop bitterness and malt presence that doesn’t eclipse the hops. I’d like more assertiveness overall but the balance is skilled and drinkability is high.

6.1
Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 6.5 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a clear golden with a small white heas. Aroma is fairly neutral, with gentle grainy notes and subtly sweet bready malt. Flavour is much the same, with a sweeter grainy, bready malt bill than a standard ABV pale lager, with more oomph in general. Still fair timid in flavour depth but more interesting than normal. Decent.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is gentle, with subtle Belgian yeast, a touch of coriander, and biscuity malt. Flavour is clean and fruity, with biscuity malt and a touch of fruitiness. Finishes dry. Drinkable but boring.

Bottle. Cloudy, gold color. Really huge head. I can see why this is called "Hay Fever". That’s what it smells and tastes like.....hay.
