Poured a hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma is faint lemon and fruit. Taste is light on lemon, high on grain and more of lager.

(bottle) Hazy, dark amber to brown colour with a thick but non-persistent tanned foamy head. Slightly sweet and moderately roasted malty aroma with wheaty accents and fruity notes of red and dark berries, accompanied by rather strong clovy spices. Slightly sour and sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Initially robust roast-malty and moderately wheaty taste with a tinge of berry fruits and cacao; .delicately roasted and fruity finish. Decent Dunkelweizen. 21.X.09

Bottle (kindly delivered by Quack-Duck!):Deep ruby-amber coloured, small, but stable off-white foam; solid malty to roast-malty nose with subtle wheaty traces; almost dry bitter-sweet and sourish flavour, light to medium bodied; some chocolatey traces in the sweetish wheaty and roasty finish. Fine Dunkelweisse........

33cl swing top bottle; Hazy, murky orange colour with a short off-white foamy head. Strong yeasty and quite sweet wheat-malty aroma with notes of ripe bananas, traces of vanilla and phenolic spices. Light-sweet and sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a rather soft carbonation for a Weizen. Yeasty and wheaty taste with an almost vinous acidity towards the slim and fruity finish with a light touch of cloves and even herbal hops. A classical Ur-Weisse. 16.XI.08

33cl swing top bottle; Cloudy, yellow colour with a big but loose foamy white head, leaving lace-work. Yeasty and sweet pale malty and doughy aroma with herbal spice and nettle-like hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, slim bodied with a gentle well-carbonated mouthfeel. Yeasty malty base with spicy hops from the start; moderately dry and bitter hoppy finish. Another well-rounded brew from Ketterer. 26.XI.08

(bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a big but collapsing frothy white head. Sweet grainy and slightly wheaty nose with a dusty touch, accompanied by traces of nutmeg. Moderately sweet and slightly sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy mouthfeel. Wheaty and cara-malty, slightly grainy and almost bready taste with subtle notes of citrus; slightly sweet and sour malt-accented finish. One of the better crystal wheat beers. 02.IX.09

Bottle (thanks to Quack-Duck!): Golden to deep golden coloured, bigger loose off-white head, lively carbonation; sweetish-grainy nose with a light lemony touch; moderate sweetish flavour with a very light sourish touch, almost medium bodied; light - but lingering - grainy and toasty finish with a lemony touch. Definitely not the worst Kristallweizen........
