(33cl swing top bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Cloudy, brown colour with a massive light-beige foamy head. Light-sweet, toasty malty nose with red berries and an aromatic, lemony, almost piney hops character. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a slightly crispy carbonation. Slightly toasty malty and fruit-accented taste (red berries, raspberries) taste; medium-dry, fruity and malty finish with a well-rounded herbal and a bit piney hoppy blend. Strange to find this one in Germany, cause it is rather uncommon by German standards. Quaffable brew, reminds me of a Sweet Stout (23.01.08).

bottle. Brown colour, cloudy, persistent head. Aroma of beries and chocolate. Made with stout yeast. Fruity flavour, full-bodied, hints of chocolate, cocoa-powder. The flavour reminds me strongly of a Belgian or Norhern French Brune. The high alcohol volume is well disguised. Very moreish. A delicious winter warmer.

Bottle (Quack-Duck, merci !) : golden coloured, medium-sized, lacy white head, visible carbonation, sweetish-grainy to sweet-malty nose with a touch of bisquits; solid sweetish-bitter flavour, medium bodied; sweet-malty finish with a touch of vanilla and/or bisquits. Not very aromatic, but a good, satisfying session beer......

Bügelverschlußflasche von Quack-Duck: Smaller, lacy white foamy layer, grassy bitter, sweet-malty and cardboardy nose; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, soft MF, light bodied; a tinge of vanilla in the smooth bitter-sweet finish. Not bad, well drinkable..........

(33cl swing top [green-glass-]bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Clear, pale golden colour with a fluffy foamy white head. Slightly sweet and soft malty nose with citrus and floral hops, quite fresh impression. Moderately sweet flavour, malty base with a distinctive Citrousy fruitiness; light to medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel; bitter-sweet finish with an aromatic, fruity hops-character. Well-rounded and soft Pilsener.

(bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Clear, pale golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Sweet malty nose with a distinctive honey-fruity note and a light but flowery hoppy touch. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation. Malty and light grainy taste, again with honeyish fruity accents; quite dry, slightly bitter finish with light hoppy notes. Clean but not an overwhelming brew.

A yellow beer with a light yellow head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet hoppy with notes of straw. Fine Pils.

(Bottle 50 cl) Very pale golden with an impressive head. Flavours not so pleasant though, the added lemonade is artificially sweetened and appears sticky and cloying. No good. 190802

(Bottle 50 cl) Very pretty fully golden beer with a tall and handsome head. Lovely malty beer with both softness and sweetness and a discreet bitterness to round things off. A noble beer indeed. 270702
