33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Golden with a white head. Fruity yeasty nose, Bittersweet taste. A bit drier than most tripels but other than that quite standard. Decent but standard.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 7/6/2014. Pours slightly cloudy golden amber color with a 2 finger foamy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of pear, apple, lemon, orange peel, banana, honey, bread, clove, pepper, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity of fruity/spicy ester notes with a moderate malt balance; and good strength. Taste of pear, apple, lemon, orange peel, bread, honey, banana, clove, pepper, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of light fruits, citrus, bread, honey, clove, pepper, light banana, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a bit. Very nice balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast ester flavors; with a moderate malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. High carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Belgian blond ale. All around nice balance and complexity of fruity/spicy ester flavors with moderate malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to drink. No complaints at all really; a very enjoyable offering.

33cl bottle on the pier at Brankenberge, Belgium. Tastes immediately sweet and of dark caramel, the alcohol really more noticeable than standard triples. Ok, but nothing to write home about.

Drought. Pale yellow with white foamy small head, strong taste of honey masking the high alcohol content, low carbonation, abrupt finish. A bit too sweet for my taste.

Very, very sweet ale, aroma and taste of honey. Bland appearance, no head, no bubbles...bad bottle? Perhaps. If I can get another sample, I’ll re-rate this one.

Sweet tasting dubbel, bland appearance with almost no head. Aroma is brown sugar and cola. taste is sweet and stings the palate. I expected better.

Cask version of this famous beer, lower abv too. Agreed with ChrisO that this was a valid entry. Crosse Keys. Clear gold beer, little white head. Light palate, a little crisp. Clean malt - vaguely lagerish. Nice balancing orange citrus with mild banana ester spicing things up. Finishes semi dry. All right.
