Drank plenty of this in Da Nang. Had some sweet malty tones to it and some apple. Really nothing to remember beyond the fact it was refreshing on a hot November afternoon in Vietnam

Bottle in Osaka. Light, fruity, citrus aroma. Ok malt, not very special but refreshing and fruity with lots of citrus. A bit of cardboard takes away, but just a bit. Light, bubbly, and good for hot climates, I suppose. Better than expected.

Somewhat electric yellow. Flat-looking, no head. Has a somewhat unpleasant apple, grainy aroma. Has a bit more bitterness than most other Vietswill, but remains a grainy brew with little to offer.

Dull gold. No head. The aroma is a little bit appley. Soft, flat body. Not much hop and more cereal than malt. Poor balance but all round an unimpressive brew - the middle one in the Saigon line.

0.355 l bottle from a Burmese restaurant in Nice. Nice find for my first Vietnamese rating. It poured golden body with medium sized foamy head. Lemony and herbal hops in aroma, sweetish malt were just in the background. Surprisingly, flavor was fine as well, quite honey or even fruity malty with that hay raw pale lager malts and some herbal hops. Flavor of tobacco is also wriggling through taste and especially finish, which had also a touch of alcohol. Medium bodied, not thin at all. I didn’t felt any rice here, it’s a good beer for Asian standards I think.

Bottle in Japan. Golden yellow color with a decent head. Very fruity aroma. Has rice in it, but very malty for such a beer. Good fruityness, ok hopping, decent malt with a good amount of sweetness. A rather likable beer for what it is, though not very interesting.

Had a bottle. Poured a light, gold-yellow with a thin white head. Smelled of corn and malts.Tasted sweet - like honey - with mild malt notes but few hops. Felt fairly good to drink, but not great. A so-so beer overall.

Bottle courtesy of dkachur on 08/01/2009. Pale yellow body with a medium frothy white head. Corn, sugar, rice, grain, and honey aroma. Corn, grain, honey, toasty, and rice flavor. Medium light body with moderate carbonation.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a crystal clear gold color with a thin fizzy head. Aroma of sweet grains, corn, rice, slightly astringent wine like character. Taste is rice, corn, bread, sweet malts, vanilla, fruity notes. Watery, thin bodied. It seems a little bit trashy but there are some interesting things in there as well. Overall not too terrible.

Can (BB 10/2009), alc. 5.3 %. Golden color, small white head with big bubbles. Aroma of malts, rubber and rice. Fizzy. Slightly alcoholic. Rice, booze, some malts and green apples. Another standard crappy South East Asian lager.
