11/08 0.5 l can from a gas station somewhere around Trencin, Slovakia. Poured pale yellow body with smaller head. Malty flowery aroma with some hops between grass and lemon. Flavor is quite thin, malty and slightly hoppy sourish. Shorter, lightly sour and a bit soapy finish. Not so nice and pretty boring, typical pale lager.

0.5l bottle, 4% courtesy of and shared with heavy who brought it from Slovakia (thanks!) Poured a small off white head that went away at a medium pace, dark red/brown body. The nose starts off too weak but somewhat promising, roasty and with notes of coffee. The sweetish taste echoes the nose, weak and roasty, but the roast is quite fine and forms an interesting aftertaste. Notes of coffee and just a touch of alcohol. Shows potential but it’s pining for a more pronounced taste and body.

0.5l bottle, 4% courtesy of and shared with heavy who brought it from Slovakia (thanks!) Poured a gilded yellow body with a somewhat thick fluffy medium sized head that went away at a medium pace. Very lively carbonation. Malty nose with traces of dusty hop. Crude, grape seed like bitter (hoppy?) taste with notes of metal mixing with and pretty much ruining some weak (but not all that bad), soft sweet malt underneath. Bit salty. Not the best 10% around.

0.5l can courtesy of and shared with heavy who brought it from Slovakia (thanks!) Whoa... noone has rated this before. Guess they changed their dark from 11.5 to 10 only recently. Contains saccharin. pours a brown-red body with a medium sized off-white head. Dry caramelly, malty nose, a bit roasty. The taste is very soft and sweet. Caramel again, brown sugar. A touch of metal maybe. There is not much taste overall, but it’s drinkable ad kinda likable. You can get worse dunkels at this strength.

0.5l can courtesy of and shared with heavy who brought it from Slovakia (thanks!) Poured a clear golden colour with a small-medium head that went away fast. Soft oily nose, fruity, some hop. Soft, sweet malty taste, boring, with maaaybe just a touch of alcohol. Some hoppy, lemony acidity. Weak hop presence really. A gentle standard international lager, nothing special but better than the average.

08/08 Had it directly from a 0.5 l can on a gas station somewhere around Trencin. My first Slovakian beer, this one was on sale price :) Pleasant aroma of flower malts and citrus hops. Some hoppy bitterness in the flavor, but it was so watery. Also some paper in the finish, which is otherwise slightly bitter as well. I expected more, but this is just an average pale lager, maybe only a little bit above it.

Draught, Magyar Bar, Budapest. Really a pretty pissy eurolager, not worthy of any further prose. However, I did bump into Miss Slovakia on this trip, in the paddock at the grand prix, and I can tell you she was a definite 5 !!!

Can 4.0 % (BB 08/2008)
Golden color, small white head. Light malty and apple-fruity nose. Light sweet malty flavor, those few hops beer has, are tasting like red currant. Can was propably not the most freshiest.

Bottled (BB 03/2009)
Pale yellow color, good foamy white head. Light papery malty aroma. Decent body, but lacks most of everything else. Has some sweet maltyness, but mostly tasteless. Quite typical 10P or less Slovakian supermarket beer.
