Bottle thanks to me. Near clear amber beer, small bubbly tan head. Airy smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Caramel malts, a little cream. Ripe fruits, plums not that obvious. Mild spice. Airy finish. Amusing quad.

0.44l can. Aroma of lemon, passion fruit and flowers. Pours cloudy amber color with thick creamy white head, good lacing and soft visible carbonation. Taste starts with tart lemon backed with sweet maltiness, earthy, bready and slightly salty following, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is very mild bitter. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. Vitamin C bomb…

Clear deep amber brown beer, small bubbly darkish tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation, certainly adequate for this style. The malts are thin bodied for a barleywine but, not deficient in the flavour department. Slightly tangy caramel and a little dark toffee, modest and thin malt cream. The whiskey barrel provides abundant ripe whiskey soaked ripe fruits as well as a little alcohol spice. Mild barrel wet wood and a whisper of oak induced vanilla. Airy finish finds everything coming together rather nicely. Weird innit? I've tasted a ton of whiskey barrel barleywines and, this one provides nothing new but, there is just that inherent rightness of class brewing and, that makes it stand out from the crowd.
