Location: 22 oz bottle from Norm's, 4/27/12
Aroma: It has a good amount of lemon/citrus/orange, lots of spice, and some yeast
Appearance: It pours a cloudy gold-orange color without too much head or lace-work
Flavor: Tastes somewhat sweet: citrus, spice, and a little wheat, with some boozy flavors too
Palate: The body is fairly light, with lively carbonation, some stickiness, and a little bit of heat
Overall Impression: I thought this was a decent beer, it had some nice components, but I found some flaws in it as well, so I cannot go too high with the score.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Norm's, 4/20/12
Aroma: The nose is heavy on roasted malts, some nuts, hints of chocolate, and subtle pine hops
Appearance: This one pours a dark brown-black color with a small beige head that leaves drippy lace
Flavor: The flavor is all roasted and nutty malts up-front, with a later light-medium pine hop bitterness
Palate: This brew is medium bodied, with a smoothish feel, soft carbonation, and a dry, roasty finish
Overall Impression: This one was pretty solid, thought it may have been a bit lacking in complexity. Also, I would have like to see the hops be a bit more prominent. It does have a bit of a dryness on the finish, but for sure, this beer was all about the roast.

Bottle number 83/168 thanks to hophead22. Pours with a deep brown body with nearly no head. Aromas are huge, fusel, dark fruits, belgiany yeast, esters and peppery phenols, lots of alcohol, caramel, sweet. Flavors are sweet, boozy and dominated by what seems to be a belgian strain. Dates, stewed figs, raisins, dark fruits, chocolate, barrel, brandy. Thick and syrupy on the mouth, warming, light carbonation. Seems like the Colossus dominated this one.

12 ounce bottle from Vintage Cellar, Blacksburg, VA. Good thing I had a glass handy as this was a gusher. Hazy orange with a large foamy white head that quickly fades. Aroma of tart wheat notes, citrus, spice and a toasty finish. The taste is wheat, strong citrus, some plum, strong spice, faint herbal hops. Medium bodied. Decent.

Bottle shared at RBWG 2012. Pours a cloudy amber with small off white head. The aroma is a fruity malt and oak. Medium mouthfeel with a vanilla oak flavor and sweet finish. Alcohol present but not overpowering. A good American strong ale from DuClaw.
