Bottle courtesy of Gunfryd. Nice, clear deep red body without any head. Aroma has honey, Black currant and dark berries in general with a touch of blackcurrant leaves. Taste is sweet but not overwhelming honey, concentrated black currant juice and some acidity. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste that ends a bit sweeter and more alcoholic than first impression. Feels a bit unusually with the alternating feeling between sweet and moderate sweet. Lots of juice from berries in combination with alcohol tends to give a bit sharp edged taste. Not a mead I could drink a lot of (goes for most of them) but definitely an interesting one that deserves some attention beyond the typical superficial ticker sip. Still not a big fan.

KYGGK 130621. Purple color with no head. Aroma is berries, honey, alcohol. Flavor is black current, honey, alcohol, floral. Nice mead.

Bottle. It's a crystal clear ruby red mead, still and oily. The aroma has lots of berries, but in a quite sharp way, remining me more of a young blackberry booze than a blackcurrant mead. It's full-bodied, warming and sweet on the palate, with a herbal bitterness in the back. Dark berries, honey, flowers and a touch of grass in the flavor. Sweet berries finish. A bit uninteresting this one, and sort of unbalanced, with very little honey. 210613

Bottle. A nice looking slim 375ml one. It's looking delicious in the glass, with a deep golden colored, almost amber, with no head. Rather oily pour. The aroma is dominated by honey, in a matured, cellarish way, and is joined by elderflower, orange and a generic fruityness. Some notes of raspberry too. It's full-bodied, warming and sort of oily, with a herbal bitterness. Honey, herbs, elderflower, lemon hints, alcohol and some spiced hints. Not much orange or mandarine detected. Lasting finish with a tad too much alcohol warmth. Nice though. 210603

Bottle. Beautiful, clear golden body without any head and a slightly oily consistence. Strange and fascinating aroma, a bit like cloudberry, herbal, honey and hint of citric fruit. Taste is sweet, mature citric syrup, acidic berries, herbs/tea, honey and well-integrated alcohol. Full bodied and rather long lasting, herbal, warming alcoholic, sweet honey aftertaste. This was fun to taste, perhaps more interesting than really god but definitely something totally different from other meads I have tasted.

Lovely raspberry aroma. Unfortunately did not the flavor match the aroma Nice clear red pour in the glass. Good intensity in the aroma. Lovely raspberries The body felt actually a bit thin Pleasant and fine sweetness. Some unbalanced notes in the flavor with raspberries, honey and vinous notes Could easily be mistaken for a homemade wine [Bottle (14%) version)from Vinmonopolet in Rakkestad, Norway]

Bottle, kindly shared by gunnfryd. 2020 vintage. A more or less clear ruby colored mead, still and headless. Raspberry, flowers in general, heather standing out, and a dash of honey in the aroma. It's full-bodied and sweet, yet with a sort of dryish feeling on the palate. At least not sticky. The flavor has heather honey as a backdrop for some flowers and quite a lot of raspberry, and in the finish the raspberry takes over more of the show, leaving me with thoughts of candy. Still, it's a nice berry mead. 201231
