2014 draught at the brewery, 1/27/24. Hazy amber. Thin ring of white bubbles. Juicy! Fruity, bit of mineral and chalk. So playful for its age, with excellent earthiness and no booze. Soft, juicy, malty, rich grape and earth with ebullient fruits. Not much in the way of oak or barrel but certainly a lot of wine...

2022 brewery draught, 1/27/24. Hint of haze, deep caramel-amber. Spotty, frothy, beige head. Rich, rich malt, savory, spicy bourbon. Clean and rustic with ample dryness and spice. Speck of toffee to sweeten the deal. Very lovely. Raisin, cherry, fig, vanilla. Spice and hints of drying graphite. Nicely attenuated by now, with no booze and tons of pepper throughout the long finish.

2022 draught at the brewery, 1/27/24. Light haze, deep amber. Small, spotty, off-white head. Hoppy, yeast, caramel. Not boozey, but piney, lightly resinous. Soft, caramelly, juicy, pretty low on hop acidity, actually. But still pretty basic, albeit malty and dry enough. No booze.

2019 brewery draught, 1/27/24. Bit hazy, rose-melon-amber. Thin ring of bubbles. Stiff, dry bourbon. Whiskey-like. Toast and hops. Clean, juicy, rich, intense. Peppery, hoppy, juicy. This tastes like eagle rare. Soft, mellow, spicy, cherry-forward. Spicy, malty, good bourbon acidity with big maraschino and lingering pepper. Wonderful barrel character.

2018 brewery draught 1/27/24. Clear, bright rose-amber. Small, white head quickly to ring. Pepper, caramel, vanilla, rich toffee, soft, round. Spicy and fruity. Low but noticeable hops, no booze. Rich, thick, mega-spicy. No edge at this point with toffee and vanilla. Lovely, spicy, vanilla and liquor forward four roses. Don't know this whiskey, but am impressed. Super mellow and round but appropriate bitterness from hops.

2017 brewery draught, 1/27/24. Deep rose-amber. Thin, white head quickly to ring. Clear. Soft char, maple, vanilla, raisin. Low but mellow and aromatic bourbon. Clean, no alcohol. Rich, juicy, soft, caramel and toast. Peppery, lots of sacch character with mineral, plaster and such. A bit lacking compared to the previous '14 WL Weller barrel version. But certainly still solid. Even some hops remain, earthy and spicy.

2014 brewery draught, 1/27/24. Clear, bright rose-light-amber. Light ring of off-white head. Bright, clean, snappy, bit of cherry. Soft pepper. No oxidation! 10 years old! Dainty toffee, vanilla, honeycomb. No booze. Soft, rich toffee, honey, vanilla. Fruity bourbon with deep pepper. Malty and juicy with caramel and vanilla. Fruity, not too sweet. Good mellowness but tons of flavor. So well-rounded and impressive at ten years.

Brewery draught, 1/27/24. Lightly hazy, deep, honey-maize. Small, white head quickly to ring. Juicy and tropical nose with obvious Semillon from the nelson. Rich, honey-like malt, no resin, no onion from mosaic. Really soft, fruity and round. Clean yeast, no booze. Soft, malty, juicy, tropical. Not the rich, dank, mineral spice of new Zealand, but still round and flavorful hops with plenty of white wine and minor spice from the clean mosaic. Very malty but well-attenuated.

Brewery draught, 1/27/24. Dark, mahogany-and-ebony. Small, neat, dark beige head. Fair bit of roast, not too intense, low hopping, clean, moderate yeast character. Seems very dry based on the nose, no big base malt character. Clean. Dry, toasty, but malty. Good mix of base and roasted creating plentiful chocolate character. Very low hop. Clean, simple, malty. Drying finish. Mostly chocolate and light roast. Could use a bit more mineral/yeast on the finish. I will say, it's very flavorful for its size.

Very distinctive barrel-Aged taste. Could almost contain a shot of spirit
