Tap. Pours deep brown to black, clear with a small brown head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is not strong, but has notes of coffee, dark chocolate, dark roasted malt, and a bit of citrus. Flavor is lightly sweet espresso and molasses, quite bitter and noticeably alcoholic. Finish is bitter coffee plus some alcohol warming. Full bodied. A little too bitter for my tastes. Unfortunately I did not get a lot of hoppy notes other than "bitter." in my 8 oz tap.

Bomber from Bier Thirty. Pours a deep cloudy copper color with a thick white head. A sweet raw hop aroma with some pine. The flavor is similarly dominated by really raw and bitter hops, early boil domination, perfume, spicy at times, some caramel. Not really too exciting though decent. Lingers with bitterness.

Bottle, 22oz. Some floaties in this one, else it’s hazy, golden-orange and topped by a small, dense, off-white head. Fluor, something dusty, citrus peel and a touch of maltyness in the aroma. The flavor is on the citrus peel side, with resins and something malty in the back. Full-bodied, pleasantly carbonated. Lasting finish with bitterness and flavors of citrus peel and pine cones. A quite nice one, nothing more. 120817
