Bomber from Whole Foods in Folsom, CA. Pours hazy light amber with a creamy beige head. Aroma is citrus. Med body or better. Flavor is citrus - but not grapefruit. There’s a malt backbone that is pleasantly overborn by hop. So should we appreciate a beer that just obliterates malt with hop? Heck yes we should!!!!!!!!!!! Nice dry, bitter finish. Yum.

A disappointment from Beer Valley. Commonplace appearance, brown with a thin head. Flavour was unpleasant, tasted off. Unpleasant finish. I wish they make they make this no more.

Bottle. Pours with a mildly hazed (but noticeably bottle conditioned) golden body with a very large, just barely off-white head. Aromas are of pine, citrus and caramel. Old school. Soapy. That said, there is a noticeable nutty, malt character. Some soil and marmalade. Dry biscuits. Flavors are malt forward. Bready, nutty, biscuity, sunflower seeds. Very bitter. Citrus and pine. Tastes like an IPA that would have been made 10 years ago. Strong bitterness, mildly floral and citrusy hops (little in the flavor compared to other hop attributes). Seems all C-hop (I do wonder if the name hints to Delta hops, but if so I can’t taste them). Nutty, ice tea. Good, but not very good or different. A bit of a co-humulone bite. Some ester that borders on a mild ethyl acetate. Medium bubbles, medium to fuller body for the style. Kind of bummed by the out come here. I do like Beer Valley, and they can make some very solid hoppy beers. This just seems like an IPA brewed by going through the motions. Perhaps harsh, but...

On tap. Pours with a clear orange hued body with a lasting tan head. Aromas are of coffee grounds, nutty, bready, caramel malts. Decently hoppy, pine with mild esters. Flavors are nutty, noticeable diacetyl, caramel, butterscotch, pine like hoppy notes and lots of fruit esters. Medium bubbles with a sweeter finish. Not my favorite from Beer Valley. Great name though!

Bottle given to me by my friend Bruce, thanks for the opportunity. Pours a hazy golden color with a huge fluffy white head that displays mad retention and lace. The aroma drips with hop juice, pine resin citrus they are all here. Faint malty background of bread and caramel barely pokes through. The flavor gives off more malt than I would have thought from the aroma. The hops are still here in full force but there is more bready malt than I expected. Medium body and carbonation level, sweet resinous sticky mouthfeel. Really good fresh hop ale to bad its brewed so far away and not easily obtainable.

22 oz. bottle, pours solid black with substantial tan head. Aroma of bold fresh hops, roasted malt and espresso. Flavour of intense roasted malt, bold fresh hops, burnt espresso, and wood. Dry, intense, roasty palate with tons of depth. Sort of burnt quality on the finish. Delicious.

Draught. Cherry red pour with not much head. Aroma is cherry and malt, to my nose a strange combination. Rather full flavour and a tart cherry finish. Well balanced.

Draft at Kern River Brewing in Kernville. Nose is butterscotch and toffee, with hints of bubblegum and nutiness. Clear copper with a medium beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet bubblegum and toffee.
A deep dark stout with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, molasses, alcohol warmth, light roasted notes, pleasant. Pretty good for a 10 year old beer.

Bomber pours clear gold with slightly rocky tall light tan head. The aroma offers up spicy hops, sugar sweet malts and a touch of hoppy earthiness. The taste is similar with sweet sugary malts mixing with the spicy and faintly earthy hops. The hops grow a bit in bitterness midway and into the finish.
