Keg at the Portland branch. Pours clear, deep red-gold with a lasting, creamy off-white head. Bready malt nose with just hints of piney hops. Light to medium sweet flavor with slightly toasted bread, mild perfumey and piney bitterness, subtle orange. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Simple finish, more bready malts, mellow bitterness. Very basic but nothing wrong.

Location: Draft at Barnacle Billys in Ogunquit, 7/9/13

Aroma: The nose is malty and nutty, toast, and some caramel/toffee notes
Appearance: It pours a brown color with a light brown head and some average lace
Flavor: Tastes malty, similar to the nose component-wise, not overly sweet, not much bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium and it is perfectly drinkable with a fine mouthfeel to it
Overall Impression: This is a fine brown, but it was nothing too memorable. If your looking for a quaffable brown you could certainly do far worse...
