Situated just off the West coast of Scotland the Isle of Arran is arguably one of the most beautiful and dramatic islands in Europe. The splendour and diversity of the landscape has led it to be considered by many as Scotland in miniature. Nestled between the islands largest mountain, Goatfell, and the imposing Brodick Castle lies Arran Brewery which has been brewing award winning craft beer for over two decades.

Cask at jdw Aberdeen. Chestnut brown / copper coloured pour with a stodgy speckled cream coloured head. Aroma is nutty malts with touch of caramel woody twigs and some dried fruits. Flavour follows with some raisin, nutty malts, twigs and berry notes. Palate is medium bodied, semi sweet and moderately low carbonation. Drinks pretty well.

Pale golden beer with a thin bubbly head. Smells of grass and lemon. Taste is sweet, tangy citrus and a slightly drier finish. Unspectacular but tasty. Could probably have gone being a bit colder than I had it.
