Description
Situated just off the West coast of Scotland the Isle of Arran is arguably one of the most beautiful and dramatic islands in Europe. The splendour and diversity of the landscape has led it to be considered by many as Scotland in miniature. Nestled between the islands largest mountain, Goatfell, and the imposing Brodick Castle lies Arran Brewery which has been brewing award winning craft beer for over two decades.
Opened in late March 2000. The 20BBL plant originated at the Tipsy Toad Townhouse.

Bottle. Amber colour with a creamy off-white head with good duration and nice lacing. Aroma is earthy with floral hops. Flavor is light bittery, some floral notes, very light caramel and toasted malts. Dry final with a light bitterness.

Thanks to Seanyfo for this beer. Best before date is 30.07.2014, Batch 539. Light amber colour. The beer starts mild, slightly sour. Nice "red" malty hints, very smooth. The main part is a bit watery, nice malty and a bit (for me) too sweet. The slight sourness in the end seems to be an infection - it doesn’t really fit into the whole picture. But as the beer was stored correctly and has still 9 month shelf-life, I don’t know. In the mouth stays a nice, smooth vienna-style malt-aroma with the typical bitterness of a nice ale. --> Interesting beer! 10/11/8/8

Dark red beer with a fruity, malty aroma. Flavour is malt and a bitter caramel flavour with a light, fruity edge. Finish is almost smokey with the caramel. Could do with a bit more body but it’s pleasant enough.

Fizzy golden beer with a thick foamy head. Light hoppy aroma. Sharp, bitter flavour of hop and malt with a very dry finish. Not bad but unmemorable.

Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of hops, quite fruity, candy and hay. Bit sweet, quite bitter flavour. Bit thin body. Dry, slightly bitter finish.

Thanks to Sean! 50cl. Netter mild-weicher Antrunk. Die Ale-typische Note kommt im Hauptteil gepaart mit netten, mild-weichen Karamelltönen. Der Nachgeschmack ist lang anhaltend, trocken, etwas röstmalzig und schöne Ale-karamellig. --> Sehr leckeres Ale! 12/12/12/12
