Description
Situated just off the West coast of Scotland the Isle of Arran is arguably one of the most beautiful and dramatic islands in Europe. The splendour and diversity of the landscape has led it to be considered by many as Scotland in miniature. Nestled between the islands largest mountain, Goatfell, and the imposing Brodick Castle lies Arran Brewery which has been brewing award winning craft beer for over two decades.
Opened in late March 2000. The 20BBL plant originated at the Tipsy Toad Townhouse.

(50 cl bottle at The Rover, Göteborg) Clear golden color, small white head. Weak malty scent. Sweet grainy malty taste. Medium mouthfeel and bitterness. Not vory nice, nor very special. Perhaps this is a beer better tasted early in the evening before you drink anything heavier.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, amber golden with a tiny, off-white head. Fresh, citric aroma. Rather light in body with a discreet caramel sweetness and a dry, astringent, citric bitterness. 010307

Bottle: a clear golden colour with a rapidly fading white head and pleasingly clean citrus aroma; explodes in the mouth with a clean sharpness and citrus flavour, with a pleasant bitterness to fllow through.

Bottled (BBE 06/2007). Dark honey golden color, good white head. Aroma has oak and licorice. Slightly metallic malty but then flavor is salty and has licorice notes. Aftertaste is sweetish malty. Good and balanced, actually not blonde.
