Green bottle from an Asian shop. Pours light gold, clear, with a 10 second head. Smells like a watery lager with very little hops, and a weird herbal grassy note. Tastes watery and thin, strange vegetal off-aftertaste that I don't much like. Guess it would be okay to wash down spicy food in a hot climate, although I'd still choose a different beer if available.

Deep dark accajou to black beer under a thick cream-tan head, some lace. Full roast nose, first dry but suggesting underlying serious sweetness. Rather nutty, nutoils, bit of chocolate. Roast/burnt flavour, again undelying sweet malts. Timid acidity, but mostly from the CO². Burnt nuts, this time, charcoal, and somehow, cornflakes. False impression of body, in fact a bit watery. Gristslickness; good carbonation. Pretty ordinary stout, if maybe a relief from todays vanilla, cocoa, cocos, tonkabeans, crème brûlée e tutti quanti.
