Bottle: Poured a golden color lager with a small bubbly white head with minimal retention. Aroma of weak malt and hops with bad case of skunk in the back. Taste is pretty inoffensive apart from the bad case of skunkyness. You have to wondered why they import all those crappy lager into North Amercia…

Old review (German Export 5% version):Ooh, my first Chinese beer. Pours a medium sized and thick white head. Surprise, surprise, it was pale and yellow. Bad malt nose, comparable to a n/a nose. Oh, and my Tsingtao (German export, but found in the Scout Club Irish Pub in Samobor) had 5% alc.. The taste was cardboardy, but the lemon dominated. Why on earth is this imported here ? (3/2/4/1/8)

It’s the most common beer in chinese restaurants here in Greece. If well chilled then it’s ok.

(bottle) Clear yellow/straw colour with a medium frothy white head. Weak malty aroma, slightly skunky. Sweetish flavour, medium body, somewhat crispy mouthfeel. Starts a bit sweetmalty turning into a low and short hoppy, slightly perfumed finish. This one is not that bad and I can imagine to have it with tasty/spicy (southern) chinese food, but I would prefer a sweet Riesling wine with a well-balanced sweetness-acidity proportion from Germany or Austria….and believe me or not: my best friend I had in the Kindergarten near Frankfurt/Main (greetings to Udo Krick !) is one of the grandsons of the founder of the brewery during Germanys former colonial times.

12 oz bottle—1st 6 pack I got was an outdated batch, which I didn’t notice till I was having the 1st beer from it and not enjoying it too much. The first one fit a number of descriptions I’ve read on this beer, like-skunky, not much different than the US macros, shipping conditions that the beer was subjected to, etc.. The store was kind enough to do a swap for a different 6 pack with a more recent bottling date. So, that’s the 6 pack I will rate as there was a big difference between the 2. Pours a mild yellow, pale golden color, white head that is quite high, reduced to about 1/2 “ and held for much of that beers existence. Aroma is light and citrusy, lime possibly? Along with a sweetness, possibly corn. Carbonation and taste are good, an enjoyable beer.

Pour is a pale yellow with a small head. Aroma is skunk with some sulfer in there. Smells like a fireworks factory. Flavor is typical lager. Heineken like in more ways than one.

This was the first and last time I will try this beer. Sampled from a 12 oz green bottle this beer poured a straw yellow color with a small soapy white head. The aroma was sour and skunky. The flavor was sour malt, skunk, and a bit corny. The mouthfeel was surprisingly thick which was the only redeeming quality I could find. Drain pour. ANY BREWER WHO CONSENTS TO PUTTING THE BEER IN A GREEN BOTTLE SHOULD BE BANNED FROM EVER BREWING AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
