On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours slightly hazy light golden with white head. Aroma of phenols (pepper) and esters (fruity notes), some bready notes. Tastes slightly sweet with balancing bitterness. Thin bodied.

.33 liter can from Vinmonopolet Bergen earlier today. The label says 20.11.2027 so being out of production appears unlikely. I open the can and tilt into the only glass I have available. The view is a murky, dark yellow body followed by a healthy off-white foam. I smell plenty of tropical hoppiness, straw and citrus. I take a drink and get a significant surprise. There’s quite a lot of bitterness start to finish, lemons, papaya, hops and a sharp nectarine sweetness. I am caught unaware and pleased by it all. An interesting IPA from Norway while I’m there.

Rapport fra plankekjøring nr. 1/26 på Melkebaren: brunsvart med fint skum. Nybrent/nytraktet espresso, mørke 70%-sjokolader, mørke karamellsjokolader og herlig maltsmak. Vitamininnholdet varmer fra tærne og opp og er derfor et trygt alternativ på turtermosen som en velgjører for tørste vandrere. Lekker sjokoladebitterhet i den tørre avslutningen. Nr. 1 fra venstre.

A can from Norway - thanks Jan Magnus! Pours a dark brown colour with a creamy beige head. Notes of roasted barley, dark chocolate and toasted bread with a hint of vanilla and grass. Delicious. Aroma not bad and mouthfeel is medium to full. A lovely Christmas beer.

330ml can, batch 0009, bought at Storo Ølutsalg, Shared during a rating session with Finn. Unclear golden body, patches on the surface, upper part lacing. Moderate smell of ripe citrus, lightly spiced. Mixed taste of cereal malts with a citric touch. Distant hints of spiced bitterness to the finish. Foamy mouthfeel. Fair enough. (Tromsø,18.09.2025).
