Bottle: light brown colour, thick white head, quickly vanishing; malty and fruity nose, a little, little bit sourish; well balanced, well rounded; malty, fruity flavour with a medium hoppy finish. The "lightest" of the classical brews of Duesseldorf.

Rerate from tap at Schlüssel: Handsome dark amber, creamy golden cream. Nice roasted fruity bitter fresh. Wellmade Alt is a beautifullily balanced drink. Old rating: 7 4 8 4 16, Bottle. Chestnust colour, off-white creamy lacing head. Roasted and fruity aroma. Minerally, burned and roasted front, fruity notes undermeath, chocolate finish. Medium to light body, mellow mouthfeel. I have to try this at the brewery :-) Thanks Dortmunder!

(draught) Pale yellow-brown, greenish shine; unbelievably uniformly straight head, like whipped eggwhite poured over a spoon. Hoppy nose as British cask ale, noble German hops. Flat, but quite hoppy taste; flowery, but tasting rather British keg-ale like. Although there is no visible carbonation, the taste indicates oversaturated beer. Light to medium bodied, ends a bit dead. As expected, the most industrial of the 4 Hausbrauerei Altbiere. Why? I’m sure they could do better.
