On tap at Zum Schlussel, pours a clear dark amber and the a medium beige head. Aroma is full of bready malt, toasted caramel, less bitterness than the Uerige. Flavour confirms this impression, being less bitter and slightly sweeter but still dry — lots of bready malt, toasted caramel, and a hint of nuttiness. Crisp, smooth, bitter, dry malty finish. Great.

Bottle from a Trinkgut near Düsseldorf. Color: Clear copper, light beige head. Aroma: Dark malt, caramel hints. Taste: Dark malt, subtle fruity hints of blueberry, raisins, light hints of roasted malt. Earthy notes. Hoppy backbone, very light bitterness. Smooth, a bit creamy mouthfeel. Dry-ish, zesty bitter finish. Just over medium body, below average carbonation. Moderate sweet, light to moderate bitter at finish. Very nice Stike Alt.

Tap at Zum Schlüssel in Düsseldorf. Clear dark copper colour with a glow. Crisp alt, very drinkable as there's nothing heavy about the sum of its parts, but still full tasting with mild but tasty malts evident.

Large rocky off white head left a creamy top on a dark copper coloured body. Malt & raisin aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & foamy thinning out to a clean back. Caramel, doughy, sweet biscuit, malt & spiced tastes with a bitter hop finish. Good one.

Tap. Chestnut amber, clear. Nose is malt, sweet, fruity berry, dust - a bit meh. Taste is better than expected: Full, sweet and soft, roasted walnuts, warmth. Not bad. At Frango Portuguese in Dusseldorf. This website is stubborn and insists on some place in Berlin.

Schlüssel Stike, Flasche von Hopfen & Malz im Wedding. - Tiefdunkles Kupferrotbraun, klar. (10.1.2022.)
