Quit good. Nice malty taste and a slightly bitter taste. Malty-hopy finish.

Bottle. Color: Clear copper, frothy off-white head. Aroma: Malt, caramel, hints of bread. Taste: Very smooth, malty, grassy hop, caramel, lightly herbal hints. Moderate to medium sweet and bitter. Medium body. Long lasting finish. Great example of a good traditional Altbier. Malt and hops are well balanced, some complexity and very easy drinkable.

Bottle. Clear brown with shades of red and a huge white head. Aroma of malts, caramel and nuts. A tiny but pleasant whiff of diacetyl. Taste follows aroma. Moderate roastiness and bitterness. Medium carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel. Very balanced and süffig. Nice Alt. My uncle's favourite beer. I'll drink to him.

(swing top bottle, 75cl) Slightly hazy, ruby brown colour with a short off-white foamy head. Dark malty, slightly toasted aroma with notes of burnt caramel, backed by earthy and herbal-spicy hops. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a modest carbonation. Dark malty and slightly nutty taste with hints of bread crusts and pronounced herbal and slightly earthy hops; bitter-sweet finish with nutty malt and a mildly spicy hoppy bite. Decent. 07.II.18

0.25 l on tap at the brewpub. Muddy, brown with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, light beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly grassy-spicy and a little yeasty aroma of caramel, toasted nuts, some straw and a touch of wet cellar. Medium sweet, malty, moderately grassy-spicy and a bit roasty taste of caramel, toasted nuts, hints of cocoa, some straw and a touch of grassy hopy, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly roasty, quite grassy-spicy, minimally yeasty finish. Medium body, smooth, slightly creamy and a bit effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Highly quaffable, rich Kelleralt, way too good to be served only on rare occasions.
