Bottle. Chestnut color with red shine, with a long lasting medium size head. Aroma is earthy, bread crust, some caramel. Taste is roasted malt, caramel, some metallic notes, honey, bready notes. Nice bitterness, the most dry finish between all the altbier I tried. Medium body, medium carbonation. Very nice.

Bottle. Clear golden, bit amber. Old damp hop. Edgy but flat at the same time. Pointy. And oily.

Tap at Schlussel. Filtered deep copper brown body. Creamy, steady, beige head. Just nails it. Hoppy brown ale. with that German touch. Phenomenal balance, huge malt tone. A little less hop tone than Im Fuchschen, a little deeper specialty malt. Solid example, but not my favorite in the city.

On tap (cask gravity) at Schlüssel, Düsseldorf Tuesday 24th May 2022, sat outside. Pours light chestnut brown, very good clarity, nice soft nutty and caramel maltiness, like the Uerige this is also very bitter, but a little softer and perhaps more polished than the Uerige, however I slightly prefer Uerige.

Bottle (333ml): Clear, golden, slowly collapsing mid-sized white head, mild to moderate sweet-bitter aroma of (exotic-) fruity hops, sweet pale malt underneath; mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied and quite soft; slightly lingering lemony-hoppy finish. Simple but good and refreshing…

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass with a nice head. Starts mild, malty, more and more hoppy. Mild bitterness. Shy fruity touch. Mild moldy finish. Quite drinkable. Not bad.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass amber coloured, small head. Mild malty aroma. Starts mild malty, modest dry, mild hoppy bitter notes. Finish more balanced, some woody notes. Not bad.
