(Bottle 33 cl) Comes as "Magners Original Vintage Cider" - but only at 4,5% ABV. What a strange colour indeed, this is sort of orangey pink! Some sort of medicinal, chemical tang in both aroma and flavours - not so pleasant. Those off flavours dominate and owerpowers the apples. Pity. 240705

Can: Poured a slightly fizzy dark golden colored cider with below average carbonation. Taste is a quite strange mix between fructose and sweet apple that may have fermented a bit too much. It lacks some dryness to balance the whole thing and ends up tasting a bit too much like soda. I did notice a very subtle oak flavour which compels me to say this could have been worse.

An orange cider with no head. The aroma is sweet apples and the flavor is a dry sweet apple flavor.

This is pretty decent looking. Fizzy and pale, but has a nice alcohol/apple smell. Very crisp, but still retains a dry touch of malt grain. Ends slightly bitter and medium acidic. Goes well with certain light foods, though is too carbonated in the end.

Not as much aroma as some other ciders, but there is some apple smell. Clear golden color, lots of carbonation, small head. Sweet apple taste. Light on the palate, but all the sugar made me thirsty.

It's time to set the record straight: sweetish, golden, and bland. Inferior to Strongbow. Notes of vanilla, tannin, and vague wood hints. Finishes far too sweet for non-francophone cider, like apples coated with icing sugar. All this praise for industrial cider? Get off it.
