Bottled 500ml (Vinmonopolet Kirkenes)
Golden colour, small steady off-white head. Nutty, fruity hoppy aroma. Light-bodied. A bit honey sweetness, bittering hops, cracker-like British malts. Balanced, traditional UK Golden Ale.

500ml bottle from Morrisons online. A new Welsh region for me. Pours clear gold, small white head, nice consistent creamy top. Aroma of malts, citrus and honey; seems ok. Taste is dry biscuit malts, lemon and lime citrus notes, some butter. Light bodied, dry but refreshing. Quite nice.

500ml bottle from Morrisons. Pours clear gold, small white head, modest retention. Aroma of biscuit malts, pear citrus peel. Taste is biscuit, lemon peel, pear, grapefruit, bitter grassy finish. Light bodied, slightly dry, refreshing. Very good gold beer.

500ml bottle from Morrisons. Pours a clear brown amber with small white head, nice retention. Aroma is sweet malts, biscuit, light earthiness, chocolate. Taste is the same, sweet, biscuity, earthy, some pine, hints of chocolate, moderate grassy bitter bite. Light to medium bodied, fairly smooth. Nice beer, maybe on thing lacking is a fruity element to elevate it.

500ml bottle from Morrisons @ 4.8%. God damn fridge has broke in a heat wave and I'm not into room temperature pales so on to the stouts which probably should be lightly chilled at the moment but still better option. Pours black, small tanned head. Aroma is sweet, light roast and coffee, chocolate, light berries, burnt toffee. Quite nice. Nice balance between rich and sweet with a bitterness running through. A bit too thin maybe as the flavours don't hang around long. Taste includes biscuit, light roast, coffee, chocolate, berry notes from the brambling cross hops. No mention of raisins or oats in the brew so I think its just a plain stout so no idea where they are going with the cake theme. Its nice but a bit thin.
