Description
We’re a friendly bunch of Yorkshire folk with a passion for all things ale. Since 2015, we’ve been driven by a passion for innovating ales, while sticking to the traditional methods and high quality that you know and love.
The North Riding Brewery is based in the village of Snainton, just outside the seaside town of Scarborough, Yorkshire. Every day we’re blessed with chocolate box views of God’s own county and refreshing sea air. You could say there’s a little taste of Yorkshire in every brew.
Our production process is simple. We currently brew three times a week in our microbrewery, focusing on hop-forward modern ales with the finest ingredients.
Our mission is to delight your taste buds with a little love from Yorkshire. We’ll drink to that.
First brewed during March 2015 using a 10BBL plant. Initially it was based at the Betton Business Park, East Ayton, Scarborough. It is a sister brewery to North Riding Brewpub. In Summer 2019 the brewery relocated to their current location.
The majority of the output now comes from East Ayton but the brewpub also continues to operate, primarily for small batch beers sold at the pub, test brews and the occasional festival special.

Cask gravity at K&ES railway BF 2024. 4.3% clear gold beer lasting white head. Earthy centennial aroma. Then quite strong hop flavour in mouth. Lots of oranges. Good condition. Good bitterness on the finish. Yes earthy but good.

Bottle. Beer Central Sheffield. Hazed pale orange gold. Lovely sticky dense white foam. Fresh bright citrus and piny hop on top of clean semi sweet biscuit malt. Taste has a whisper of sweetness with bright citrus bitterness. Light body with fine brisk carbonation. Moderate bitterness to finish. Great pow wow. Can imagine smashing this by the pint on cask.

Bottle. Beer Central Sheffield. Hazed medium gold. Nicely dense shiny white foam. Pretty glorious nose of peach stone ripe orange and creamy malt. Whiff of pine. Taste has a brief creamy sweetness but it’s mostly crisp, bright zesty pithy citrus bitterness. Light and crisp throughout. Lingering lean bitter finish.

Bottle. Beer Central Sheffield. Mostly clear medium gold. Very soppy messy lasting almost fully lacing white foam. Looks boss. Pithy fleshy ripe citrus. Ripe sweet dark berry. Whiff of minty herb. Biscuit malt in the background. Taste is semi sweet with a robust fruity citrus bitterness. Loads of flavour. Slightly oily on the palate. Fine foamy carbonation. Lingering bright bitter finish. Tasty gear in ace nick.

Bottle. Beer Central Sheffield. Soft haze on a pale to medium gold. Fairly loose, lasting bright white foam. Nose has clean dry malt with a lemon meringue, grassy, sweet herb leaf hoppage. Some under ripe citrus. Whiff of pineapple weed. Taste is well balanced bittersweet that gets more bitter as it goes along. Light body with pale of flavour. Fine rolling carbonation. Sweetness drops away on the finish. Nice pow wow on the more unusual side.

Bottle. Beer Central Sheffield. Lightly hazed pale gold. Slim dense lasting lacing white foam. Looks good. Nose has pithy zesty citrus. Sweet creamy malt. Bit of melon skin. Taste has a modicum of sweetness but mostly is pithy and zesty bitterness. Light clean mouthfeel. Lingering crisp bitterness to finish. Not playing at the bitterness this one.

Dunno why we’re doing the version number thing. As can be seen in the pic it’s not mentioned anywhere so where it comes from is anyone’s guess (I’d guess the font of fuck all knowledge UT). Anyway. Bottle. Beer Central Sheffield. Mostly clear gold. Decent lasting white foam. Nose has sweet ginger biscuit grain. Nicely fruity berry-ish mosaic. Slick minty piny notes. Bit of mango flesh. Taste has a swift rich ginger biscuit sweetness getting juicy and sappy bitter. Plenty of body with slick fine carbonation. Lingering bitter finish. Solid old school pow wow.
