Many thanks to Minutemat for this bottle! Great rich dark malty beginning. Nuts, caramel, roast. Full and round for the 3.7%. Roasted dry nuts in the aftertaste, moderate bitter, refreshing and round with a great roasted bitterness on the end. Great dry caramel with nuts.

Bottle from Aldi, Chertsey. Slightly floral malty aroma. An attractive bright amber. Gleams in the glass. Thin bubbly white head. Medium bitter - surprising kick to it. Malt. Quinine. Pepper. A bitter? Light. Thin. A buzz of carbonation. Abrupt finish. I've borrowed a soft spot for Holden's from two Black Country mates, but this was better than I was expecting. Interesting bitter.

Bottle. Aldi. Crystal clear, pale gold. Film of sticky, white head. Nose has grass clippings and privet leaf. Some biscuity malts. A bit toasty. A bit lemony. Taste is nicely balanced, buttery sweetness, with lemon hop bitterness. Clean and crisp, drying mouthfeel. Grassy, lemony bite to finish. Good golde.

Bottle handed to me by my colleague as I left his house. Drank at a bus stops somewhere in the Black Country as I waited for the 126 back in to town. Sweet malty aroma. Amber. Thin frothy white head. Medium bitter. A tang to it. A malty base. Light bodied. Soft carbonation. Long finish. Enjoyable.
