Cask-conditioned at the Clytha Arms, Monmouthshire 11/08/09. Deep gold in colour with next to no head. Aroma of hay, sweet malts and a touch of grassy hops. Flavours of sweet, summer fruits and a hint of cloying butterscotch, from which it was saved by a decent bitter finish. Ok.

Cask conditioned at Charlie’s Pub, Copenhagen
Hazy golden color; small persistent head. It has a very refreshing aroma, a bit citrusy, with some malt and light manure, some hop. Good malty flavor, with a quite round mouthfeel, light and very pleasant residual sweetness; all this is very nice; if possible, the bitterness becomes a bit too harsh at the end. Very good Golden Ale.

Cask gravity at 1st K&ES Railway BF 2009. Gold, slight haze, thin off white head. Bit of yeast, esters and a bit of cardboard. Made with a Belgian yeast maybe as this is so estery?? Not really my thing.

Cask handpull at The County, JDW, Ashford. Deepish gold colour with lasting beige head. It’s a bitter, bit appley, actually does remind me slightly of homebrew cider. OK moderate hop on finish. Slightly farty yeast aroma.

Cask at The Penny Black, Bicester, Oxon, 29-05-09 Pours light amber with a white head and just a touch of haze, though it is rather cold and the coldness is also killing off any aroma sadly. Once this started to warm I detected some malt. There is a rather tingly bitterness to this and a decent hop showing, a little lemon rind, its a bit fruity with quite a dry finish. Cask, half pint. Clear and plain amber body. Naked surface. Floral to the nose. Resinous hops in flavour with a satisfying bitter end (JDW Wheatsheaf Bar, Stoke 02.05.2009).
