Cask, Stillage, Ship and Mitre, Liverpool. Surely a beer named after the mighty Bristol Rovers could have a bit more life about it ??!! Dark golden and malty, but oh so boring. Instantly forgettable.

No head. Amber body. Fruity caramelly tea aroma with wooden roasty notes. Dry-sweet floral roasty caramelly taste. Light, delicate, harmonic. Bitter floral caramelly aftertaste. Highly drinkable, yet interesting. Excellent! (0.1l taster cask at EBF ’08.)
