Bottle from Sainsburys. Golden in colour with a big, off-white head and plenty of carbonation. Aroma of subdued citrus and creamy malts. Flavour was sweet, with a touch of butterscotch, chewy malt and a slightly dry finish. A bit lifeless [2.8]. Re-rate: cask-conditioned at the Saracen’s Head, Worcester, 23/7/2014. Much less sweet, with a hint of balancing minerals and decent, bitter finish. [3.2].
