Cask at GBBF08. Nice refreshing hop aroma. Hazy golden colour. Nice stable white head. Good citric flavour, quite hoppy. Bites a little in the finish, and is sweet in a good combination.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Golden in colour with a big, off-white head and plenty of carbonation. Aroma of subdued citrus and creamy malts. Flavour was sweet, with a touch of butterscotch, chewy malt and a slightly dry finish. A bit lifeless [2.8]. Re-rate: cask-conditioned at the Saracenโs Head, Worcester, 23/7/2014. Much less sweet, with a hint of balancing minerals and decent, bitter finish. [3.2].

Cask, Beamish Mary, No Place, Co Durham. Hazy darkish brown, thin muddy colour head. Malty/hoppy aroma. Flavour similar with some fruit evident. Quite refreshing, but finish wasn’t really there.

Cask handpull at Wenlock for the Fin and Loz meet up. Copper/gold with thin white head. A pretty good tangeriney strongish beer. Bit of tea. It’s fine, pretty decent flavours. OK.

Cask at the Wenlock Arms, Lahndan tahn, 20-06-08 in the marvellous company of Ian, Mes, Duff, Ang and Loz Pours light golden with no head to speak of. Pretty much starts and finishes with a tangy sweet fruitiness, the bitterness that is present carries a little flying around the roof of the mouth but I found little else to make me want another, its just alright.

Cask handpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Straw colour, lasting head. Good condition, bit of biscuit, bit of cardboard on aroma. Some rose petal fruit. Some hop on finish. Oddly drinkable bitter. Citrus hop bite is just enough to make you want to drink it. I am surprised at how good it is. OK, still only a 3.2 but it is fine.

[Cask at Back of Beyond, Reading] A case of "yes, yes, yes, no, no ugh!". Sweet & malty at first but descending into bitterness, eventually revolting, struggled to finish it. Nothing special about this.
