Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Amber with a dense off-white head; fruity bitterness with some honey; pleasant bitter finish. Rather average.
50cl bottle from Sainsburys. Very similar, with a good fresh bitterness that’s unusual in a bottled beer.

Cask handpull at Thomas Rigby’s, Liverpool. Gold colour with lasting thin white head. Decent citrus hop aroma. Pretty good pale malts in mouth. Some rounded stone fruit, soft flesh in mouth. Good balancing citrusy hop finish. Very good gold/blond beer. Everyone seems to do one, but this is good. Bit of tangerine on finish. Excellent.

Cask at GBBF 2006, CBoB entry cask. An orange beer with a bubbly yellow head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of hops. The flavor is sweet malty with nice bitter hoppy end. A good end - but too simple. And the body is thin.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 4 Aug) Colour is golden yellow with a foamy white head, leaving lots of lacing. Nose is fruity with citrus, apricots and a nice earthy and dusty hop aroma. Taste is fruity with citrus (grapefruit, mandarin) and a balanced, nice, bitter finish with earthy hops. Rather complex and nice.
