Description
In the wide-skied arable lands of Holderness, down a tree-lined lane, lies Great Newsome Brewery. Here you will find beers for all seasons and all-year drinking.

We don’t try to reinvent the wheel. We keep it simple, using superb natural ingredients to make beer that you can sit back and enjoy, without even thinking about it. Which in our opinion is the sign of a very good pint indeed. It’s traditional craft beer with a modern twist.
Growing our own malting barley gave us a good start and we have since developed special strains of yeast as well as experimenting with homegrown hops, although they are difficult this far north.
Visiting our shop, you’ll be sure of a tail wagging welcome from our English Springer Spaniels, descendants of the late Jem, our mascot who is fondly remembered on bottle labels and draft beer bar tags.

50cl bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden with a decent white head. Nose - pale malt and light lemon. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light bodied with a thin texture and a dry finish. Overall - I guess the best thing that can be said is that it doesn’t offend, but that’s because it doesn’t do much at all.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - lemon barley water and fresh sweat. Taste - more lemon barley and some hop resin. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - well balanced even if there aren’t too many high notes.
