Description
2012 we started with a Sheffield pub the Fox & Duck in Broomhill and followed this in 2014 with the Doctor’s Orders on Glossop Rd. We’d always had a love for cask across the pubs and whilst on holiday having the odd shandy came up with the brilliant idea of opening a microbrewery and serving our own quality ales.
Late 2015 we found a unit in the Kelham area where we knew the water was good and immediately felt at home. Cold Room built, drainage plinth sorted, Dave Porter supplied and fitted the kit – we started our adventures in brewing beer.
As per plan within a short period of time we took on an experienced brewer. This was followed by us taking on a full time sales and delivery person. We’ve continued to grow the business with new processes, new kit, more people, new recipes and now have a stable 10BBL plant with a great team.
With great folk working for us at the brewery we continue to learn everyday. We’re passionate about making beer and try to retain the home brew spirit of experimentation and fun. We really appreciate the feedback we’re getting from our growing customer base and looking forward to a return to growth over 2021.

Cask @ Coach & Horses, Norwich. Clear golden with a creamy-frothy head. Has a sweet tropical fruit nose but is more steady in taste, and never too stated here, but is flavoursome. Easy-drinking too

Dark brown, near black with a frothy / creamy tan head and a big root ginger aroma. Smooth and creamy, the ginger is more subdued in the taste with some dark fruit notes and a dry, slightly bitter finish

Hanspull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Light to mid-gold, clear with a good-sized creamy off-white head on top. Lots of tangerine, candied citrus peel in the aroma. Taste is on the sweet side but by no means sickly, with notes of pomelo, tangerine and a little bit of pomegranate. The gentlest malt base holds it all up. Bitterness on the finish, almost a grassy character right at the end. This is an exemplary little sessioner.

Hand-pulled pint in the Pheasant Inn and Brewhouse on 31st August 2024. Red hue to the amber/chestnut coloured body, clean and clear with an off-white crown. Malty front with some hop action for a semblance of balance, not a style of beer I'm used too, but I enjoyed this one.
