Description
To create new and unique beer styles that challenge people's perception of beer. In short: to create true Craft Beers.

The Brew By Numbers range features a handy naming convention, where the first number refers to the beer's style and the second number refers to the beer's recipe.

Initially a small scale brewer who first brewed in October 2012 based on Southwark Bridge Road, London. Moved to their current location, where a 10BBL plant is used, in June 2013.

Moved to a much larger site in Greenwich in 2021 running down the Bermondsey operation and closing it within a couple of years.

Keg at BD Clerkenwell, 05/05/23. Black with a tan cap. Nose is dark malts, mellow roast, cherry skins, chocolate, molasses. Taste comprises dark malts, dried fruit rinds, chocolate dipped cherries, hint of booze, charr. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Okay sipper ... a little stuck in 3rd gear ... BBno of 3 or 4 years back would have pulled off a 4 scoring beer here.

Yeah, pretty good, but again somewhat overpowered by the alcohol rather than the ingredients
