The Brew By Numbers range features a handy naming convention, where the first number refers to the beer's style and the second number refers to the beer's recipe.

Initially a small scale brewer who first brewed in October 2012 based on Southwark Bridge Road, London. Moved to their current location, where a 10BBL plant is used, in June 2013.

Moved to a much larger site in Greenwich in 2021 running down the Bermondsey operation and closing it within a couple of years.

Small white head on hazy golden coloured body. Earthy, herbal & dry aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with soft cloying back. Exotic fruits, confectionery, melon, floral & herbal tastes. Unusual hoppy tastes make a great IPA.

Tap at the brew By Numbers tap. A hazed peachy coloured pour with a small off white head. Aroma is sour milk, yogurt, red berries, currant, vanilla, prickly. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, woody berries, bark, sour milk, vanilla. Ok. Little washy wishy. Palate is semi sweet, light tang, moderate powdery carbonation. Meh.

Tap at the brewery taproom bermondsey. A translucent golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting rocky white head. Aroma is soft bready grains, white grape, grass, green berries, hedgerow hop. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, loose wheat, green berries, light weed, white grape nice. Palate is semi sweet, loose grains, light tang, highish carbonation. Nice. Quite unique hop combo. .

Tight white head on a hazy pale golden coloured body. Pine, citrussy & fresh hop aroma. Medium bodied, smooth, low carbonation, dry & clean. Lemon, tangerine, grapefruit & pine tastes with tangy hopped up finish. Solid.

440ml can purchased at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Chalk white head leaving clingy lacing on the glass, close-to-clear golden-yellowish body. Inviting aromas of green hops, grass, and pale malts. Fine blended taste of maize, grass and supported by sappy orange, pale malty background. Smooth hop fruity bitterness to the finish. Medium bodied. Very refreshing and pretty good. (Tromsø, 26.03.23).

Can from Appellation Wines Appearance - murky yellow. White head. Nose - dank, mango skin, almost banana and bitter grass thing. Taste - creamy and dank melon and mango. Bitter grass thing lurking. Palate - light bodied, creamy texture. Bitter finish. Overall - OK.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - cloudy yellow with a creamy snow white head. Nose - dried orange and apricot. Something a bit green possibly pine is lurking. Taste - more orange, apricot and bready. Just an edge of caramel. Palate - light bodied, dryish middle and properly dry finish. Overall - quite nice.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy golden body with an off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of mint and grapefruit. Flavour of tangy lemon peel and a peppery finish. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Zesty and bright - a great example of how juicy and modern an English IPA can be.

Rocky off white head on an unclear vivid amber coloured body. Grapefruit, marmalade & syrup aroma. Medium to full bodied, lightly carbonated on the tongue with a sticky back. Nectarine, grapefruit, bubble gum & bitter orange tastes with a long pithy g peppery finish. Good one.
