About
To create new and unique beer styles that challenge people's perception of beer. In short: to create true Craft Beers.

The Brew By Numbers range features a handy naming convention, where the first number refers to the beer's style and the second number refers to the beer's recipe.

Initially a small scale brewer who first brewed in October 2012 based on Southwark Bridge Road, London. Moved to their current location, where a 10BBL plant is used, in June 2013.

Moved to a much larger site in Greenwich in 2021 running down the Bermondsey operation and closing it within a couple of years.

25cl can, BB 25/11/2024, canned 25/11/2022.

Can. Hazy yellowish gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light pale malts, a thinnish creamy sweetness. The trio of English hops deliver light pine, a touch of pear led orchard fruits. Whispers of lime and tangerine. Finishes light and crisp with all the fruit flavours coming together well and with a very small pinch of hop spice. Crisp and refreshing with a lovely light touch of English hop goodness.

440ml can, as at Morden Wharf, bought at Vinmonopolet Oslo City. Frothy white head leaving crocheted lacing on the glass, hazy pale yellowish body. Moderate aromas of tropical fruits, grassy. Hop fruit flavours of mango, lemon, and hints of green hops. Soft fruity ending. Medium bodied. Straightforward (Hotel room, Oslo 17.03.2023).

150ml draught from a sample tray at Nedre Foss Gård. Shiny naked surface, hazy golden body, poor lacing. Quite inviting fruity smell of citrus and mango. Fresh, mid-tart taste of ripe lemon, orange, and mango. Fruity finish, semi-tart. Likeable cleanser. (Oslo, 16.03.2023).

Murky golden beer, thick white head. Smells zesty and fruity. Flavour has grassy hop, citrus, grapefruit, a little pine. Quite bitter and crisp in the finish. Mellow for the strength and very drinkable.

Cask @ Tap and Can. Misty pale gold appearance, good white head. Fruity enough, mild grapefruit and orange aroma, slick malty sweet shades with additional mango notes. Definitely has an English hop character. Ok.

Tap at Taphouse, Copenhagen (02/03/2023) - black with a tan head. Dark sweet and roasted malty with notes of chocolate and caramel, brown sugar, dark cocoa nibs, brandy kissed lingering malty finish. Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Clapton Craft. Pours deep brown with a creamy mocha topping. Light sweet flavour, fairly ashy, some earthy black coffee, rubber, cocoa. Medium bodied with velvety texture and fine carbonation. Moderately dry and ashy to finish, some bittersweet cocoa, burnt toast, espresso. Good, toothy stuff.
