About
To create new and unique beer styles that challenge people's perception of beer. In short: to create true Craft Beers.

The Brew By Numbers range features a handy naming convention, where the first number refers to the beer's style and the second number refers to the beer's recipe.

Initially a small scale brewer who first brewed in October 2012 based on Southwark Bridge Road, London. Moved to their current location, where a 10BBL plant is used, in June 2013.

Moved to a much larger site in Greenwich in 2021 running down the Bermondsey operation and closing it within a couple of years.

Teeny weeny can from Hogs Back Brewery. Burnt coconut and coffee aroma. Dark and glossy. Foamy beige head. Medium bitter. Coffee and a hint of liquorice. A creamy edge throughout. This alongside burnt coconut rise up before bribg dashed aside by the reassertive bitterness. Delicate sweetness then lingers. Medium-heavy bodied. Creamy. Sticky residue. Average carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Develops some boozy heat. Nice.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Clapton Craft. I’m a fan of the wee 250ml can for big beers. Pours lightly hazed yellow-gold with some pithy citrus, white grape, melon, lemon rind. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with some ripening citrus, more melon and white grape, low bitterness, lean pale malts. Nice DIPA.

11/II/23 - on tap @ Bar Beenhouwer (Gent), BB: n/a (2023-151)

Clear dark brown to black beer, small to practically no head. Aroma: very malty, good roast, sweet impression, caramel, some coffee, more caramel, ok. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sugary start, lots of alcohol, caramel, gentle roast, a bit oxidized. Aftertaste: sweet and sugary, more oxidation, hint of chocolate, caramel finish.

Poeh poeh nou nou ff bijkomen hoor.

Degelijk bier, ok.
