Cask at the GBBF 2018 day 5 11/08/2018. A pale yellow straw coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is golden malts, light. Mango, grassy citrus, mellow tropical. Flavour is composed of pale grains straw, tropical, mango, orange grassy hop.. Very balanced and sessionable.

Cask at the Royal Standard, Wooburn Common. A glossy black pour with a loose fawn coloured head; aroma of well toasted malts; taste of bitter burnt grains with a touch of vanilla; then a dry toasty finish.

Cask, half-pint, kindly shared by ManVsBeer at Royal Oak. Fawn coloured head leaving clingy lacing on the glass. Jet black body. Chocolate malty aroma, mid-sweet. Vanilla chocolate flavours. Slightly roasted, mid-sweet ending. Medium bodied. Pleasing porter version. (Halifax 03.07.2018).

Cask @ Royal Oak, Halifax. Very dark with a dryish and bland dark malt taste, where its vanilla is light within a mildly steamed texture. Vanilla is apparent in a floral nose.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Clear dark copper-amber with a head. Has a light Belgian style bubble-gum sweetness, with a slightly metallic tasting sweet-berry influence in its nose. Strong tasting.

Bottle from Saltaire Wines, Saltaire. Dark amber with a glow, and next to no head. Strong, with a bublle-gum sweetness to it, but its alcohol content still dominates this.

Cask-conditioned at the Golden Ball, York 19/4/2018. Near black in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Milk chocolate, some creaminess, sweet vanilla and a toasty finish. Good.
