Duncan Sambrook founded Sambrook’s Brewery in 2008 when there were just five breweries operating in London. With his vision of bringing brewing back into the heart of London, Duncan pulled ex-brewer David Welsh out of retirement and back into his dungarees and wellies. To

Since 2008 we have been brewing beer in Battersea, but after 12 years on our current site we have decided to relocate a mile up the road to Wandsworth Town. Later in 2020 we will be brewing beer on the site of the Ram Brewery where we will launch our new tap room and visitor centre.

Cask at the Market Porter, 24th January 2012. Aroma is a little different, sour continental, which comes through in the flavour, perhaps a little Saison,english bitter twist. Not bad, but did not go back for more

Cask @ Curlers Rest. Orange colour, off-white head. Nose is fruity and slightly sour. Flavour is fruity, sour, followed by dry biscuit. A bit thin bodied. Watery finish.

Bottle at a tutored tasting on GBBF 2011. Amber colour with an off white head. Fruity and a bit caramel in the aroma. Fruity and hoppy bitterness in the flavour, hints of blackcurrant.

Cask at Pig’s Ear Beer Festival, London. Very dark brown. Treacle aroma. Sweet with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and treacle, slight licorice. Warming finish with relatively low bitterness.

Cask (handpump) @ The 17th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2011, Reading, Berkshire England.Clear medium orange amber - yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, honey ? moderate hoppy, citrus, flowers. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, floral, chamomile notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110429]

RBESG August 2011, Southampton Arms. Very dark copper with a lasting off-white head. Weak toffee, chocolate and licorice aroma. Sweetish licorice flavour with a fruity touch
