From cask at Bree Louise. Pours dark brown to black with a deep clear amber glare and a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, dark toffee, roasted caramel and breadish. Lingering dark malty, roasted and sweet - subdued fruity touch - almost Belgian. Ends sweet and roasted. Lovely.

(Cask at Pineapple, London) A fruity and hoppy bitter. That’s something you seldom get. I liked this beer. The fruitiness and maltiness were nicely balanced and bitterness wiped both flavours away quite nicely. Bitterness didn’t last too long so the next sip brought all the other flavours back again.

(Cask at Oxford, London) Quite an ordinary bitter. I wasn’t disappointed at all to this beer but it didn’t wake any really positive feelings either. Easy to drink and left hardly any memories.

@Harp. Light golden-bronze with some haze. The aroma is a bit appley, maybe even a bit of butter. The palate is appely, but with some nice Maris Otter nuttiness. Decent pint - if a bit thin and underdeveloped.
