Description
Wild Card Brewery was founded in 2012 at the Ravenswood Industrial Estate Walthamstow.
We brewed Mon-Fri and come the weekend, we would open the brewery doors and serve up our beers. With support from the local community our shed became one of Walthamstow's best loved bars, hosting beer festivals, tap takeovers and live music.
Meanwhile, in the brewery, Jaega was working away, tweaking old recipes and coming up with new ones. By 2017 she had 2 award winning beers under her belt and was struggling to make enough beer to keep up with demand - we were going to need a bigger brewery. So in 2017, we started a crowdfunding campaign to help us move the brewery to a bigger site.
In 2018 the brewery moved over to Lockwood Way, where we have doubled capacity - which means lots of Wild Card beer for all.
Wild Card Brewery now has two tap rooms in Walthamstow, and our beer is available in pubs, bars, restaurants and supermarkets across the UK.

440ml can - Pours a hazy yellow gold colour with an average sized white head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit, grapefruit, passionfruit, lemon with some grassy and pine notes. A moderately sweet and fruity taste, citrus and tropical fruit and resiny flavours with a pithy bitterness and pine aftertaste. Nice.

Huge foamy white head stayed on slowly carbonating pale gold body. Hoppy & earth aroma. Medium bodied, lively with a sharp dry back. Pine, pith, citrus & alka-seltzer tastes. Harmless.

Bottle from Beer52. Hazy yellow with a white head. Nice peach and lemon aroma, but on tasting the first impression is how thin and watery it is. The flavour's of lemon with a faint wisp of pine. The bitterness is perfectly judged though. It's ok overall, and it did wash my hot dog down nicely.

22/2/2021. Can sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, citrus, touch of pine and white grape. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, watery texture, average carbonation. Not bad considering it's abv.

Can from Beer 52. Aroma is mainly tropical fruits (lemon and pineapple), but also a suggestion of hot metal ! Was very lively when first opened and poured a clear golden yellow. Subsequent pours were a cloudy lemon yellow which did slowly clear to hazy. In the mouth the first sensation is briefly grapefruit, before sharp lemon overwhelms it. Plenty of taste for its strength (and not too much citrus) – but not really my sort of thing.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A slightly hazy straw coloured pour with a peaky white head; lemony citrus aroma; rather thin in the mouth with a crisp lemony taste. Clean and refreshing.
