375ml bottle. Cloudy, amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally toasty malty and slightly fruity, minimally earthy-leafy, hoppy aroma, hints of tea, old apple. Taste is pale and minimally toasty malty, minimally caramel malty with low residual sweetness, minimally earthy, leafy and minimally fruity hoppy, hints of red apple, old apple, some tea; lingering, slightly dry finish.
Watery texture, rather indifferent palate, medium to coarse, scattered, prickly carbonation.
Light, fairly refreshing - OK.

From a 375ml bottle on 13/8/2025. Pours a dark deep amber witha medium head that dissipates quickly. The nose is both fruity and malty - some dark fruit vibes with some toasted notes. Tastes of prunes and dates, which present on toasted and biscuit malt backbone. Has a touch of sweetness up front, with a dry, ever so slightly sour bitterness concluding proceedings. Medium body with average carbonation. A very solid little dark ale.

Dorada limpia de espuma no muy abundante. Aroma delicadamente lupulado, floral. En boca es suave, muy agradable. De nuevo floral, miel, pero de innegable base malteada, cereal, pan. Equilibrada y muy bebible.

Old notes from Oct 2014- A 330 ml bottle from Waitrose. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma is light & fresh with a citrus fruity hoppiness. Taste is also fruity with citrus present as well as apricot, grapefruit & freshly cut grass and fruit hops. Mouth feel is soft and smooth and has a very light bitterness. Aftertaste is there’s some freshly cut grass and fruity hops. Overall having not had this for a few years I'd forgotten just how good this beer is.

Old rating from 15-05-15 - 330ml bottle brought at the brewery by a friend. Poured at home in Jersey, it's amber with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of citrus, grains, hints of spice & malt. Moderate body. Crisp light bitter finish. Very enjoyable

Can. Deep brown with a beige head that's soon a fat coat. Aroma of pine and kumquat over brown sugar and toast. Then there's a bit of earth and prunes in the sweetish taste too. Quite hoppy with decent bitterness at the end.
