Sample at the DBLDP on 08/31/2014. Pours a clear straw color with a thin white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of apples and mint. Medium body with flavors of semi-tart apples, mint and herbal honey. The finish is fruity with a mild spearmint aftertaste. Interesting and decent overall.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy golden yellow color with a decent transparency about it to allow a light carbonation to be seen rising. There was no head.
The smell had a blend of sweet and tart raspberries with apples, not bad at all.
The taste was basically the same and giving a slight sour edge to it.
On the palate, it sits about a light on the body with a fairly harsh edge to it. Actually, this one gets a little vinous and sour.
Overall, not really digging this one. It’s got an okay smell but the taste and palate fall off a bit for me.

Now I’m a big fan of ginger, let’s see how this does.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy golden yellow color with a decent transparency about it allowing carbonation to be seen rising. There was no head.
The smell did have the ginger which I did like how it came across. Light apples came through subtly.
The taste was mainly sweet as the ginger faded just a tad. Apples dominated in the flavor.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty decent sessionability about it. The ginger shows a decent harshness but becomes slightly subtle.
Overall, good cider I could see myself actually having again.

bottle - This cider smells like ripe apples and mild mint, just enough to give my nose a little minty chill or maybe I’m imagining it. It tastes of sweet apples and mild mint that’s apparent but not strong. Refreshing and good.

Bottle at PIB, pours a clear blonde with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out fresh mint upfront, with some faint apples in back. Flavour is interesting, with notes of mint, honey and light apples further. Certainly a unique cider, almost tasting like a mead. Decent stuff.

This was poured into a wine glass.
The appearance was a somewhat clear yellow color with a fast rising carbonation trying to fill a rapidly dieing bubbly head. There wasn’t any lacing.
The smell started off with some granny Smith apple and then there was some light sugary notes (I’m guessing maple syrup) but honestly it doesn’t smell like maple syrup, it’s just sugary.
The taste was actually more balanced than I thought with a sly dose of bitter from the granny Smith apples and still a sweetness from the maple syrup.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation does hit fairly hard but I think I’m just starting to understand that most ciders are meant to be like this.
Overall, well hot damn, a balanced cider? One I could possibly do again? Well, how about that. I’m thinking the next time I get this, I’ll put it with some food just to see how it does.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear, light, yellow-green color, with a fairly large, bubbly, white head. Red delicious is dominant, with some notes of vanilla, and butter toffee. Very sweet, with a surprisingly acidic, dry finish. Light body, bubbly, acidic, and crisp. Overall, this is a nice, relatively complex cider.

12 ounce bottle from Wegman’s Leesburg. Pours a very pale yellow, almost colorless. Aroma of raspberry soda with a bit of apple. The taste is sweet berries, tart berries, sweet apple in the finish. Thin bodied.
