$1.50 tick from New Beer. Green stubby bottle. Pint glass pour. Same guys that make Woodchuck. Oh crap. Ingredients: ...less then one percent of: malic acid, NATURAL APPLE FLAVOR(huh?), sorbate and sulfites(yay! :) to preserve flavor. 5%ABV. Faint, almost colorless, clear, generic cream soda color. Lasting, scummy white paste head. Smells exactly like my last pour of Woodchuck, which is nothing more then Y?-grade apples, compost, sulfur & yeast. Taste isn’t terrible. Just not appetizing & unbashfully artificial. Soft carbonation, confectioners sugar, severely watered-down apple sauce, old beer residue, dusty preservatives, & a little tin. Half sour, thin, flat Canada Dry finish.

12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s in Short Pump, VA. Pours a clear copper color with nearly no head. Aroma is sweet, grainy apples with a bit of brown sugar. Taste is sugary sweet apple juice. Very weakly carbonated. Light tart finish, which saves this one from certain doom.

12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s in Short Pump, VA. Pours a very pale yellow... almost colorless. Crystal clear with lots of carbonation. Not much of an effort at a head. Aroma is tart, grainy apples. Taste is sweet apples with a tart finish. Thin bodied. Glad I cracked this first because I’m extremely thirsty, but that’s about as much good as it does.

Bottle from Trader Joes - Short Pump on 04/16/2009. Clear very pale golden body with a small fizzy off-white head that rapidly diminishes. Sweet but slightly tart apple aroma. Dry apple flavor with a touch of tart. Medium light body with high carbonation.

Bottle from Trader Joes - Short Pump on 04/16/2009. Golden amber body with a small frothy white head. Sweet apple aroma. Sweet apple flavor, some light vanilla hints. Medium body with fairly high carbonation.

12 oz bottle from Enniskillen; Nose of apples with a slight skunky note; clear gold with lots of effervesent bubbles; flavor is slightly tart apples; not great, not bad.

Very sweet with lots of sugar in the aroma and flavor. Minimal apple. Fairly smooth. Amber color. Drinks easy enough but has little to offer besides a very low price.

Green bottle from Trader Joes. Nice, tart Granny Smith skin aroma. Pale pear juice color (but clear) with no bubbles at all. Medium body with slightly fizzy carbonation (but no bubbles). It’s tart, it’s pretty Granny Smith in flavor, but I’d say Woodchuck is more to the fruit. That aside, it finishes tart, dry and greenskin (with hints of sweetness). It is very good.
