Spent $10 on a bottle of Woodchuck. I have officially hit my low. Split it with a couple friends to lessen the shame, but my dignity probably wont ever recover. Bottle# z188. Poured into a tall goblet. A pale wheat color, with a soapy rinsewater cloudiness/consistency. That slowly, slowly settles to reveal a brighter body. Estery. Pineapple & melon. Wax. Yeasty. Drinks a bit better then your standard Woodchuck. Sugary pear sweetness upfront, followed by a so-so tannic, apple skin & woody bitterness. A bit of hay, a bit of yeast. Finish follows through with a overdone fleshy sweetness, some seed/core, & a green apple tartness that all lingers for a long while. Some of that stagnant foulness found in regular Woodchuck still seeps through if you look for it. Medium to moderate on the sulfite gag reflex. Juicy, gently sparkling, & just a bit thicker then thin. Not great, & not at all worth $10 a bottle, but I think it is worth a repeat buy in a smaller format at a lower price.

Babyfood apple nose, almost rubbery. Crystal clear, pale yellow, almost colorless, still. Sweet apple flavor. Finishes slightly funky. Soft carbonation. A bit of a disappointment, but tasty. I hoped for more complexity and farmhouse character.

Pours hazy pale pear into a pilsner. Cinnamon, pear and green apple aromas. Spritzy with green apple upfront turning to soft honey before the dry appleskin finish.

WooHoo, the first rating! 750ml bottle from Pick’s poured into a Trappist glass. Bottle # n255. Pours a lightly cloudy pale gold with no head. Aroma of fresh crisp green apples. Taste is light sweet and medium light sour. Starts out with candied red apples then smoothly moves into a bit of sour green apples. Then it comes back to end with a sweet Belgian sugar finish. Light bodied with a sticky texture. Soft carbonation and a long finish. Overall, pretty good as far as ciders go. Not my favorite style but I would gladly drink this one again.

Poured clear, like a less carbonated club soda. My friend commented that it looked like water. It’s hard to tell if the light bulbs were what gave it a slight tint of pale pale pale yellow color or if it was really brewed like that. Alcohol is completely hidden. Flavor is, well a bit tart, granny smith like, but it’s mostly like one of those zero-calorie flavor waters you can get. Completely inoffensive, so it has at least one thing going for it.

Bottle. Finally saw an extra at Trader Joes. Was not going to buy a six pack. Pours with a clear, straw colored body with minimal head. Nice color, but I looked at the bottle and saw that it is artificial coloring. Nice effort. Aromas of sulfur, tangy apple preserves, artificial, chlorine pool water, a touch of spice and jolly ranchers. Flavor is cloying. Super sweet, slightly rancid. Rotten apples, chlorine, tooth decay. Fizzy bubbles, sticky. Not cider. "Less than 1% of natural flavor".

Bottle. Dark orange with no head. No carbonation. Aroma is full and pleasant, fresh apples. Almost no flavour, I mean nothing. Light but pleasant apple finish. A bit too sweet

Weak aroma of red delicious or other sweet variety of apple. Clear, very pale yellow, greenish hue, but almost colorless. Apple and maple syrup flavor, stronger than the lack of color led me to expect. Cinnamon notes are present, but not easily discernible. Not as good as other woodchuck seasonals, but has character. Good balance. I don’t know why people scoff at Woodchuck. Their ciders are good.

Pours chartreuse into a shaker. No head whatsoever. Granny smith and rubber cement aromas. Sweet honey from front to back. Lasting maple syrup finish. Didn’t find much in the way of apples...

12 oz bottle. Pours nearly completely colorless, just a bit of a golden touch. A few bubbles. Tart Granny Smith apple aroma. Granny Smith flavor as well, tart and a bit sugary, with a funky finish. Not my favorite flavors, but it’s pretty easy to drink.
