Handpull cask at the Blue Boar as part of their Wilde Child Tap Takeover. Dark gold, clear with a loose white head. Dank, juicy hop with notes of papaya, white grape, mothballs. Sweetish grapey taste with a hint of naked booze. Intense fruity hop on the finish with apple skin on the aftertaste. Flat, oily body. Special.

Keg tap at the Blue Boar, Leicester as part of their Wilde Child Tap Takeover. Dark brown with a hint of purple. Translucent with a thin film of sandalwood head and considerable lacing. Raspberry, chocolate malt and vanilla come together in the enticing aroma. Sweet, sweet taste, tempered by a bittering hop near the finish but make no mistake this is a gloriously sweet beer. Raspberry pavlova in the aftertaste. Intense carbonation without being too heavy. A masterpiece!

Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester, as part of their Wilde Child Tap Takeover. Golden, opaque with a loose white head and a lot of lacing. Sugary passionfruit and mango aroma. Sweet in the taste, but there's a fruity bitter hop at the finish. Oily body, soft carbonation. If you like sweet beers (I certainly do!) then you would love this.

Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, as part of their Wilde Child Tap Takeover. Brownish orange, hazy with a full off-white head. Orange and vanilla in the aroma, accompanied by gardenia and handsoap. Tastes bitter and soapy. Bitter finish with soap in the aftertaste. I was looking forward to this but it doesn't work at all for me.

Handpull cask at the Blue Boar as part of their Wilde a child Tap Takeover. Orange/gold and almost completely clear. Medium-sized loose white head. Not getting so much peach from the aroma, rather orange peel, brandy, some resin and a touch of hay. Tastes bittersweet and a bit astringent, but there's a pervasive sweetness to the taste. Rounded off by hard citrusy bitter hop. Oily body. Not bad all in all although it's less 'milkshake-y' (and indeed less 'peachy') than I was imagining...

Keg at the Blue Boar, Leicester as part of their Wilde Child Tap Takeover. Light to mid-golden, hazy with a filmy ring of white head. Lime juice and something salty/savoury akin to bacon lardons in the aroma. Sour taste with the lime taking centre stage, but there's that strange meaty bite as well. Refreshing tart finish, nicely carbonated without being too heavy. Verdict: odd, and doesn't quite come off but it has some interesting moments. Worth a try.
