Gravity cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Creamy yellow, cloudy with a bit of white head. Apricot, pineapple, mothballs, peach cobbler and booze in the aroma. Tastes bittersweet. The creaminess offsets the massive amount of hops in the beer. Banana, apricot and iodine in the aftertaste. Creamy body with zero carbonation. Jesus Mary and Joseph this is intense.

Can bought to take away at the Ale Stone, Aylstone, Leicester. Dark brown, translucent with a small khaki head. Smells of marshmallow, milk chocolate and a hint of coffee. Maybe a bit of the suggested peanut better. Slight metallic note to the aroma as well. Tastes sweet and almost fruity, with a bitter hoppy edge to the finish. Chocolate, cola nut, foraged fruit in the aftertaste. Very nice.

Cask at The Sheffield Tap. It pours clear golden - amber with a thick, sturdy white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, tangy peach, nectarine, creaminess, tinned fruits and some milkshake. The taste is bitter - sweet, creamy, cream soda, lactose, stone fruits, tinned peach, nectarine, bubblegum, peppery spice and toasty grain. Finish is soft and sweet. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Nice condition. Comes across a bit one dimensional and sweet if truth be told....Cant say this sort of thing works well on cask either.

Can bought at the Ale Stone, Aylstone, drunk at home. Light gold, cloudy with a bit of white head. Pineapple, lemon meringue pie and passionfruit in the aroma. Bittersweet taste with a creamy sweetness mid-sip, rounding off with a fruity bitter tang at the back of the tongue. Surprisingly short finish. Heavy carbonation. A really good IPA.
